Diocese of Kalamazoo: accused clergy and the Attorney General's report
Last checked: 15 October 2026
The Diocese of Kalamazoo publishes its own list of 17 people it considers credibly accused. The Michigan Attorney General's report on the diocese, released 22 May 2024, names 19 people. The report does not decide whether the allegations are credible.
About the diocese's list
The Diocese of Kalamazoo lists people it judges credibly accused, based on court proceedings, church proceedings, self-admission, or evidence meeting a clear and convincing standard. Its list covers lay employees and volunteers as well as priests, and a second part sets out the names in the Attorney General's report.

The Attorney General's report
Released 22 May 2024 (one entry revised 25 June 2026). It names 19 people. Read the report (PDF on michigan.gov).
The Attorney General's page says:
It is important to note that a criminal charge is merely an allegation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. It is also important to note that the inclusion in this report does not reflect a determination by the Department that the allegations are credible or otherwise substantiated or indicative of a crime.
Names on the official lists
This table lists everyone named on the Diocese of Kalamazoo's own list or in the Attorney General's report on the diocese, as they are named there. 17 are on the diocese's own list. Being named in the Attorney General's report alone is not a finding that an allegation is credible.
