Michigan clergy abuse: lists, the investigation and the law
Last checked: 15 October 2026
Since 2018 the Michigan Attorney General has investigated sexual abuse by clergy in the state's seven Catholic dioceses and has published reports on six of them. Dioceses also publish their own lists of clergy they consider credibly accused, and five of those lists were online when checked. A survivor of clergy abuse in Michigan has the same legal deadlines as any other survivor, and the Justice for Survivors bills would change them.
