Diocese of Saginaw: accused clergy and the Attorney General's report

Last checked: 15 October 2026

The Diocese of Saginaw publishes its own list of 32 people it considers credibly accused. The Michigan Attorney General's report on the diocese, released 25 June 2026, names 38 people. The report does not decide whether the allegations are credible.

About the diocese's list

The Diocese of Saginaw says the bishop adds a name to its list when its Diocesan Review Board recommends that an allegation is credible. The list was first put online in 2019 and is in four sections: clergy permanently removed from ministry, allegations made after death, clergy from religious orders and other dioceses with allegations in Saginaw, and those with allegations from outside the diocese.

The Attorney General's report

Released 25 June 2026. It names 38 people. Read the report (PDF on michigan.gov).

The Attorney General's page says:

It is important to note that a criminal charge is merely an allegation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. It is also important to note that the inclusion in this report does not reflect a determination by the Department that the allegations are credible or otherwise substantiated or indicative of a crime.

Names on the official lists

This table lists everyone named on the Diocese of Saginaw's own list or in the Attorney General's report on the diocese, as they are named there. 32 are on the diocese's own list. Being named in the Attorney General's report alone is not a finding that an allegation is credible.
